With lockdown and the pandemic still in queue, Couples are getting more creative with us and asking if we can plan, design and execute Brunch Weddings.

I love this new trend coming forward because the brunch wedding is a hot commodity in 2021. As more weddings are held outdoors, couples are taking advantage of daylight and sun-kissed experiences, including lush garden brunch parties and mouthwatering brunch boxes under airy tents. The best part for guests is having the option to continue the party through the day, or retiring home after an eventful celebration giving the guests time to drive back while it is still daylight.

It's that time again for our incredible Wedding Tips + Trends ~ Today we Cover the Kids Policy.

Make a Uniform Kids Policy

This one is sensitive especially to those who have kids in their family circle.

Here are some tip to help ease the struggles for your wedding day.

1. You can welcome children with open arms.
2. You can decide to have an "adults only" wedding
3. You can include immediate family only.
4. You can hire a child care service to provide day care either at the reception space, in a hotel room or at a family member's home.

Be careful. To prevent hurt feelings, it's wise to avoid allowing some families to bring children while excluding others (unless, of course, the children are in your bridal party) in which case they can attend the ceremony only if you wish.

Thinking back to when we weren't afraid to hug a friend or schedule a coffee date.

Life has certainly thrown us a curve ball that's for sure. I reminisced this past weekend on how fortune I was and still am to be healthy and loved. WE take so many things in life for grated. This pandemic is teaching us to slow down, appreciate all that you have, family and friends that are near and dear to you and most of all to wake up with a sense of appreciation and gratitude for all that is, no mater the circumstance.

Finding peace within and pausing to observe what you are being called to change is a big lessson and one that is truly challenging for most if not all of us.

Today I would ask that you take 5 minutes, sit, pause, quiet your mind, close your eyes and just breath in and out to center your thoughts that take you down a rabbit hole.

Repeat: I am worthy, I am enough, I am loved.

When you emerge from this moment, you will see more clearly and without judgement.

Guests have been known to skip out early from hotter-than-hot summer tent weddings and improperly heated winter tent receptions.

Bugs (gnats, deer flies and mosquitos) also swarm in certain areas during certain seasons.

Consider renting pest control tanks to alleviate the problem or including bug repellent in several locations throughout the reception. It is always a good idea to have a fire roaring throughout the night for the summer and fall weddings, to keep bugs at bay and to warm your guests for the unexpected cool nights.

As always make sure to check with your wedding planner for these ideas and suggestions for Plan B ~ the unexpected.
